Bruno and Robert: The Story Behind TinPaw

TinPaw began with Bruno, a Maltese terrier mix, and a plastic bowl he refused to use. For Robert, that small moment became the beginning of a different approach to shopping for pets: start with the dog, not the product.

A small moment that started something bigger

“I'm Robert, the founder of TinPaw. The idea began when my dog Bruno refused a plastic bowl. It made me think more carefully about the things I chose for him, and whether they really belonged in his everyday life.

“In 2022, I launched TinPaw from Malta with six personally vetted products. The question behind that first selection was simple: would I use it on Bruno?

“That question became the standard I wanted to build the brand around. Bruno wasn't just the inspiration for a name or a story. He was the reason to look at pet products from an owner's point of view.”

From Bruno's bowl to everyday pet essentials

Today, TinPaw's catalog brings together products for rest, walks, feeding, play, grooming and care. Our aim is to help owners make thoughtful choices for the routines they share with their pets.

A useful purchase starts with a real need: a bed that fits the resting space, walking equipment chosen by measurements, or a bowl that works with the feeding routine. Different pets need different setups. We encourage you to compare the selected product's size, materials, intended use and instructions rather than choose by a name alone.

The question we come back to

Would I use it on Bruno? It's a personal starting point, not a promise that every product suits every animal. The heart of TinPaw is the relationship between pets and the people who care for them, and the everyday choices that relationship inspires.
